Basic Income Support for Sustainability ( BISS )
BISS replaces the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS). The BISS is designed to provide a direct income support to Irish farmers. will continue to be based on Payment Entitlements. Liam has been completing these forms for nearly 10 years and gives you a detailed report of the payments you are entitled to.
Entitlements
BISS payment is based on the number of hectares farmed and the number and value of payment entitlements held. Liam has vast experience with entitlements, and has been dealing with them since 2015, transferring entitlements through sales, leases, gifts and inheritance.
Nitrates And Nutrient Planning
Nitrates derogations are required for highly stocked farmers, generally dairy farmers, and involves a nutrient plan for the farm. Glas applicants also require a nutrient plan for their farm
Soil sampling is the key part of the Nutrient plan. Exporting slurry is an option for some highly stocked farmers to reduce their Nitrates.
Environmental Schemes
Environmental Schemes: Environmental schemes are extremely beneficial as they deliver significant long-term environmental improvement through participation by a significant number of farmers. Liam has a large amount of knowledge and experience on the fine detail involved in this having submitted plans under GLAS, REAP and now ACRES. Liam assists farmers in choosing the most suitable options for their farm and deals with the Department of Agriculture inspections and records that have to be kept. Liam is there to assist farmers for the full 5 year term of their application, and is available to answer any query that the client may have, and deal with any Department issue promptly.
Setting Up As A Farmer
